Hi Everyone! Hope all is well. Oh zanfeathers and farfignewtons! Ramnots garthings! Where have I been? What day is this? Oh my, what year is this? Did Bill Jr.’s Birthday bash happen already? I was planning to go and now I find out that I am too late.... Who's the wise witch that did not tell me the party has been moved up and already happened? Here I thought I was going to be fashionably late for the party and I find out too late that I am even later than that. Late for what? Darrin, The message is; the party for today at two is postponed until two tomorrow or is it the party tomorrow has been rescheduled for two today? Well all I know is that the message has three "T's." Thank you for mentioning Bill Asher (sigh)....I mean MY Bill....Hugs to all....and Stay Bewitched Everyone! (BFE)

OK. Everyone, please assist me in this matter. I was visiting www.imdb.com checking out EM's filmography, etc. when I was shocked to see.....or rather......NOT see a picture of her....where there should!!! So, I am calling out to ONE and ALL to visit www.imdb.com and type in Elizabeth Montgomery and when the page loads, please take the time to submit a picture of EM to them so one will be shown! ~~~~~~~~~~~~I think I know how Mrs. Stephens feels, just about now. I think I am getting a sick headache over all of this! The Star.....or lack of...........her picture...........Kermit the Frog!!!!!! Oh......it's just too much! It's just too much!!!!!!!! And I don't think that having Mother Endora combing me will do the trick this time!!

Am curious IF anyone can answer: What is the status of EM's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame??? Recall, at the end of Headliners and Legends with Matt Lauer, Matt said that her star was in the works. So......what is the status? If Kermit the frog can get a star, then...................................come on!!!!

Secret Bewitched Fan, that's a very interesting theory, about their being no witches. I think it's more likely that if there were witches, there would be rules they would have to obay. So they could not wish their favourite team to win the world cup.
In Bewitched there is a council of witches that rules, and Samantha had her power taken away once because she defied them.
In Sabrina the Teenage Witch, there is also a council, which makes up rules that all witches have to obey.

QotH: When I attempted to send a b/day card to SamR, it showed me a picture of Gladys and Abner in the grocery, when she tried to go out the wrong door......and the sign "closed for repairs" or something similar, was laying on top of their groceries, and Gladys (Alice Pearce) was absolutely hilarious with her crooked frown on her mouth and Abner was embarrassed, natch. That's what I saw when I attempted to get to the card area to send a card. Do you think it is serious? Perhaps I should get another Dr.'s opinion?

Hi me again, Heres Something I had to post up... this is a theory i found on the net that some say proves that the bewicthed style of witches are not just fiction but a reality, the theory goes ...........................................................
If a so-called mortal wants something Eg, they want their team to win the world cup, They have to just hope team can pull it off, what if you were witch like sam, you could just twich your nose and make your team win, If you wanted a X-box you would'nt need to earn the money to get it, you could twich and have one, Life like that would be hell, getting everything you want without doing anything.... you would get tired of it. So in pratice in would be awful be just like the wicthes in bewitched, so therefore because it woild not be a nice as you think, then surly they must exist for real, Think hard about all that and after a whille it makes sense...!!!! , again if you e-mail me about this comment. Please put 'Sonic Music Maker' in the subject line, Thanks.... would like to here what other people think of that

Aunt Clara: I think I know what you mean. I attempted to send SamR a Happy B/day card from HarpiesBizzare.com, but it wouldn't let me in for some reason. Unless I have some type of witch disease, I couldn't access that particular area. So, I sent her something that I know she'll enjoy, in lieu of a HarpiesBizarre.com b/day card. Or....... perhaps dear ole Dad is up to his jokes, again! You'd think he'd know better by now!! Well, in any event, I'm making an appointment with Dr. Bombay. Just to be on the save side. I went to www.tvshowsondvd.com and put up my recommendation for season sets and suggested they have all the original openings.. I hope Bewitched gets on DVD one of these days, I don't feel like buying many VHS tapes of the show becuase VHS tapes tend to lose alot of quality after a few years and don't look anything near broadcast quality. Would be great to get the best show EVER immortalized in broadcast quality digital medium!

Hi everyone! What a wonderful site for one of my all-time favorite shows! I don't mean to post a complaint with my first log, but has anyone noticed the annoying "chopping" they do to scenes on BW to fit in more commercial time?? This is particularly disasterous in my favorite episode, "Allergic To Machedonian Dodo Birds", when Hallmark Network "chopped" THE most hilarious dialogue exchange between Darrin and Endora! Does anyone remember, or have u seen the "chopped" version I'm referring to? It was the scene when Darrin and Endora are on the patio and Darrin asks Endora why she can never remember his name.....

Just to follow that last message, I certainly intend to go to that site and request it, but if "Bewitched" ever is released on DVD, I would hope they'd restore the original musical openings and the "Bewitched back in a moment" plug.....While it would be great to have the show on DVD, it would be disappointing if it was the same old two syndie openings we've seen all these years. I'd much prefer if they could "restore" it. Even if they cut out the sponsor tags for openings on the first four seasons it would be OK....So please, when you request it, request the openings and everything to be part of it.

I found this website that may be instrumental in getting BW on DVD. It's at www.tvshowsondvd.com. You must register (which is entering your name and email and making a password). You select a tv show (in our case BW), how you would like it released (whether you would like it Season by Season, Best Of, or episode by episode) and you can leave comments about it. The webmaster then delivers this info to the studio. Yesterday when I logged onto it BW was #140 in rank of what is requested most. Today it's #137.

Sam's Unicorn: That was beautiful what you wrote. Thanks! Breen: Is that Charmed episode supposed to be on soon? Everyone: Well, I can't believe that seven years have run away since Liz moved on to bigger and better things. On Saturday I invited my friends over to my place to join me in my candle light vigil for her, which I have held every year since EM's passing. I placed all my Liz pictures in the living room. I bought new candlestick holders and tons of candles. I bought a dozen red roses and a beautiful cylindrical glass vase for Liz. I made cheesecake (because it makes me feel better) and everyone showed up. They were awed by my devotion as not only were there tons of EM photos but my BW memorabilia collection is set up in the living room. I read the "We are quicksilver..." saying and then we watched "Hippie, Hippie, Hooray" as it is one of the best showcases for Liz's talent. We also watched recorded clips from various news programs about EM's death recorded the day she died. It was beautiful thinking of her and all the good and joy she brought to millions. Then to liven up the night we all went salsa dancing even though I know nothing of salsa except it's excellent with tortilla chips. My escort, a girl from work who was looking rather meretricious, taught me some basic steps. It was fun. Before I go may I say "Thank Heaven for Elizabeth Montgomery!"

Hi Bewitched fans. If you get the chance, watch Episode 4.12 of Charmed. (4.12 means 12th episode in season 4.) It's called 'Lost and Bound'. At the start, Phoebe (one of the sisters who's a witch, if you don't watch the show), talks to Cole, and Bewitched is mentioned a lot. However don't stop watching, you have to watch to the end, (or at least near the end), because the discussion has a bearing on the show.
If anyone here has seen that episode, what do you think of the comments made about Samantha?

ELIZABETH VICTORIA MONTGOMERY
May 18, 2002: In loving memory of a Lady from Sam's Unicorn
It’s still so hard to believe that Elizabeth is gone. How could it be that all our combined deep abiding love for her, did not sustain her and keep her here with us? From the twitch of her nose to the sweetness of her kind spirit; from cradle to grave and beyond, she has a timeless beauty that is a song to our eyes, a delight to our memories and a time of enchantment to our childhoods. I can’t wait to thank her for bringing joy to my sister’s lonely childhood. As I watched the most recent Biography of Elizabeth on A & E I cried for her, and for the world as it is without her—a world diminished. She died far too young. I love her very much myself and I am so sorry that I never expressed it before. I loved every episode that I saw. It was great to make an escape from the Real World. I am so pleased that she had a deep love for animals. We would have been such great friends!
SamR once marveled, “How is it possible to love someone who you have never met?” Who can ever say how? But we who love her can testify that it is very possible. Love outshines the most powerful of witch’s spells. It transcends great distance, removes mountains, tweaks the mind, pleases the ear, delights the eye, strikes a chord within us; and the heart replies. Elizabeth is someone’s daughter, mother, wife, friend, defender of the oppressed, animal lover – and now, Angel. And an Angel indeed she is to us all. My poor sister was so wracked with grief at her passing that she could barely speak. Without doubt there was a death in the family.
Elizabeth’s children, friends, Robert, Bill, Erin and her animals are her survivors. The members of this Bewitched board are also her survivors, for we too have the hearts that love her. SamR has often said, “A lady knows when to leave.” Never would there been a time when we would have agreed on a time for Elizabeth to leave. She and my cherished horse, Mandy, share the same birthday of April 15. Elizabeth went to Heaven 3 months and 27 days before Mandy did. My heart did not have the good sense to stop beating when Mandy’s did. My dearest desire to escort her into Paradise was denied! I like to think that Elizabeth was the lucky one to welcome Mandy into Paradise and show her all of its Splendor. I will accept nothing less for Mandy – only the best of the best for my Baby. Liz is welcome to be a foster mom to Mandy until her own animals meet her at the Rainbow Bridge. I know that Elizabeth is enjoying many Happy Trails; after all, she has Mandy to carry her along them. Perhaps God opens a window between Heaven & Earth, if so: Elizabeth, we are all looking forward to the honor of embracing you with love and gratitude. You were and ARE so much to so many. Thank you forever for all the wonderful ways you have of being wonderful. Love always, Sam’s Unicorn

I will. That's the same day I'll be trying out for the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra. I know that remembering someone who made so many others happy will help me through it. Maybe I'll add a little bit of the "Bewitched" theme to the cadenza on the Handel piece :-) I think that with her memorable sense of humor, she might have liked that. :-)

Endora: Tried contacting you via your 'spell' phone. Will try later. Perhaps there was a lunar outage. ALL: I'm officially a College Graduate! Ya-Hoo!!!!!!!

Erin: Welcome back to the Board! I wasn't around here when you used to come here but everyone told me that you pop in occasionally. Please continue to do so! Did you watch the TV Guide special? I was glad BW was first up even though it was #50. I'm hoping that Columbia Tri-Star will take notice of BW's popularity and release it on DVD! I hope everyone is having a great week!

Erin - terrific to hear from you and great to hear that everything is going well for you! Thanks for the heads-up on the TV Guide special - it's on Monday, May 13 at 10PM EST on ABC. It's always great when Bewitched gets some recognition. You know we'll be watching! In the meantime, make sure your husband gets a palm pilot and have him put your picture in it - I shouldn't be the only one with your picture in my palm pilot!

Hi Everybody! I just got a call about the TV Guide 50 Best Special that will be airing on Monday night. They'll be using still photos from many of the programs and clips from others. They'll be showing a clip from Bewitched that they said features a floating tea cup (?). Everything is wonderful here (Southern Cal). I'm happily married and busy raising five (!) children. My darling husband loves me, but Broph is still the only man who has my photo in his palm pilot! Hope all's well.

Hey, all, what's the haps? Things have been busy at work as of late - trying to keep up is some trick, since they keep changing things every time I turn around! For a little while my father was having more trouble breathing and it was a bit stressful. In the last couple of weeks, though, we've gone out to dinner twice and he seems to be climbing the stairs a lot better than he had been. He's also not as short of breath as he had been. I don't know how much is the medicine and how much is the weather (though soon we'll get into another tough part - the heat of Summer).
Hope all is well with everyone!

Hi everybody! I've been quite busy lately moving the doctor's office to far reaches of the cosmos as I found that my nurses and I needed more privacy from those of you who would peek in on my personal pecadillos! I saw Aggie yesterday on Password but I tuned in right at the end. I wish I'd been more tuned in to know she was going to be on there. She acted very much like Endora which kind of surprised me as when Liz is on there, there is a difference between her and Samantha. Hopefully I will catch it again. Hope all is well with everyone.

Hi All! Hope all is well with everyone! Where have I been of late? A long story even longer...the kids have been in a school play. The shows were marvelous and I am exhausted. Can't imagine how the kids feel. It was a modern day version of Two men of Verona...The dancing and singing was really great...Sold goodies for the Drama club...and raked in the bucks....can you picture me pushing soft drinks, tickets and goodies? Well, I did! Haven't even been home. Well, when I was home it was such a short time that well, it was to shower and run out again....I don't even remember if I'd slept. Sam R; If you did call I am sorry that I wasn't home for it. I feel like the guy making donuts.....LOL....All for a good cause. Hopefully, I'll be home for at least one night this week....Don't forget that you can page me...however, had you done so last week and the previous two I wouldn't have been able to respond within an hour.....I miss everyone...the kids do come first, and I know you all understand. Must get going. Stay Bewitched Everyone... I wonder if MY Bill Asher (sigh...)was ever this tired....Hugs to all and to all a Group Hug! Muuuuaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! (BFE)

Hello, Everyone!
After long deliberation, I have decided to make audio-cassette copies available of one of my interviews with Elizabeth Montgomery.
It's a 30-minute tape, and there is a slight ticking sound on the tape (from the stuck tape recorder counter that I was too nervous to fix because I was actually there speaking with Samantha).
The price: is $90.00.
For the first 10 that post-mark their order by May 15th, I will throw in a personally-signed copy of Bewitched Forever, as well as a candid photo of one of the Bewitched cast or crew that I had taken circa 1990.
So send your check or money order (made payable to "Herbie J Pilato")to the PO BOX address listed below.
Yours in magic,
Herbie J Pilato

The episodes with Pleasure ("Pleasure O'Riley", when Sam and Darrin end up saving the model's life from her abusive boyfriend) and Danger ("George, the Warlock", where Endora sends a warlock turned raven to romance Sam) both have Darrin helping his new neighbors who are both models (and sisters). The episodes were originally in B&W but were colorized.
Hope this helps :-)

HELLO FELLOW BEWITCHED FANS: Some sad news from Hollywood Today. From the Bewitched spinoff "TABITHA", Actor Robert Urich has passed away. I'am enclosing the report...
Actor Robert Urich Dies of Cancer
.c The Associated Press
LOS ANGELES (April 16) - Robert Urich, an Emmy-winning actor best known for his starring roles in ''Soap'' and ''Spenser: For Hire,'' has died after battling cancer. He was 55.
Urich died Tuesday morning at a hospital in Thousand Oaks surrounded by family members and friends, publicist Cindy Guagenti said.
Urich announced in 1996 that he was suffering from synovial cell sarcoma, a rare cancer that attacks the body's joints. The cancer went into remission after he underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatments and two operations.
Urich earned his first television role in the 1973 comedy series ''Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice.'' He also appeared in the TV series ''S.W.A.T'' before being cast as Peter Campbell in ''Soap.''
One of Urich's most recognizable roles came as private detective Dan Tanna in ''Vega$.'' He later starred in another detective series ''Spenser: For Hire,'' which was based on Robert Parker's novels.
More recently, Urich appeared in ''The Lazarus Man,'' and the brief NBC sitcom ''Emeril.''
Born in Toronto, Ohio, Urich won a football scholarship at Florida State University. He later earned a master's degree in broadcast research and management from Michigan State University.
Urich briefly worked in Chicago as a radio sales agent and a television meteorologist. Burt Reynolds helped Urich land his first major role, co-starring as his younger brother in a stage production of ''The Rainmaker.''
Urich appeared in several television miniseries and cable specials. He won an Emmy for his narration of the cable documentary ''U-Boats: Terror on Our Shores.'' He also won a Cable ACE award as host of the National Geographic series ''On Assignment.''
Urich spent his latter years devoted to cancer research and education. He and his wife, Heather Menzies, established the Heather and Robert Urich Fund for Sarcoma Research at the University of Michigan to accelerate the pace of research into sarcoma.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Allison, Ryan and Emily; two brothers; a sister; and his mother.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday in Los Angeles.

I have been loving the show since I was a child
and collecting it for over 10 years. I thought
it was awful when they blew the "set" house up
on the Home Improvement show. Some group should
have bought it from the owner. They could have
relocated it, finished it as a complete, free
standing structure and used it as a Bewitched
Museum. I Love Lucy has a Lucy-Desi Museum, why
doesn't Bewitched? Thousands love the show and
would visit!! Here are 2 bonus pieces of trivia:
I'm sure you all remember that blue glass
apothecary jar they used on the set? It is most
often seen on the end table near the patio doors.
That jar was also used on the set of "I Dream of
Jeannie". Just like the Tate's dishes were the
same Franciscan "Ivy" used on I Love Lucy!! I
hope to hear from fellow collectors!!

Hello all! Honestly, I'm not trying to make my postings only a twice yearly occurence, it just seems to be turning out like that! Hope everyone's doing OK. By the way, I've put my alternate e-mail address up now, because in a couple of months time my uni email account will be closed... forever... :( :( :(
A thought... why do Channel 4 take Bewitched off the air during the school vacations? Surely it's the kind of show that would appeal to kids? There's a danger of Bewitched not being passed down to the next generation in the UK if it's never shown at a time when kids can watch! :)

A young man was at the end of his rope, seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer. "Lord, I can't go on," he said.
"I have too heavy a cross to bear." The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear its weight, just place your cross inside this room. Then, open that other door and pick out any cross you wish." The man was filled with relief and said, "Thank you Lord," and he did as he was told.
Upon entering the other room, he saw many crosses; some so large the tops were not visible. Then, he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall. "I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered. The Lord replied, "My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it helps to look around and see what other people are coping with. You may consider yourself far more fortunate than you imagined. + + + + + + + + + + + +
YOUR CROSS
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, There will always be sunshine after the rain. Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall, but God's always there to help you through it all. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

Today would've been David White's 86th Birthday. He lended such a great talent to the cast of BW. And really, can you think of any one else who could play Larry Tate? Here's to you, David White, you son of a gun! Julian: The great people at Harpies Bizarre have a page that deals directly with the ages of Samantha, Endora, and the other witches. It's found at http://www.harpiesbizarre.com/ageofwitches.htm.

Yes, Elizabeth Montgomery did appear on the original "Hollywood Squares". I don't know for sure if she appeared on the daytime version, but I know for a fact that she appeared a couple of times on the nighttime version. This was around 1976. If memory serves, I believe that Robert Foxworth was also on that panel.....However, before we get our hopes up about seeing that particular episode, it should be mentioned that GSN has only purchased about 150 shows out of what still exists. It is believed the 150 are all from the nighttime syndicated version. Hopefully we'll get to see the shows with Elizabeth.....It is unconfirmed how many episodes of "Squares" still exist - for years it was believed to have been erased/re-used. There could be up to 400 episodes still in existence. If the ratings are good hopefully GSN will pick up the rest of what's available. We don't know for sure if they will though..."Let's Make A Deal" and "Press Your Luck" are getting also good ratings but they only bought 200 episodes of each and have yet to increase it. Still, I'm looking forward to the 15th....

Calling ALL stations from Hong Kong to the bay of the Moon.......Please answer the following question very soon!
......................................................................Game Show Network will begin airing the Original Hollywood Squares (the program that boasted Paul Lynde as center square) on APRIL 15TH!!! We all know what day that represents! The question: Did Elizabeth Montgomery ever appear in any of the squares during the life of this program? We thinks she did, but can't recall that information. We've chekced with Dr. Bombay, and his "computer" was scrambled from some type of interference.....So......we've chosen to toss the question to the winds of the Cosmos and hopefully our answer will appear in a moment!

I wanted to express my condolences to our British friends at the loss of the Queen Mum. From what I've heard about her she was an exemplary woman. I also wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter! I wish mine were happier but it seems that some greedy mortals who run the place I work at (a travel agency) think they are going to make a ton of money by having us open on Easter Sunday for a mere four hours. If any of you call to book a vacation tomorrow just expect to see a lot more rabbits than just an Easter bunny for you WILL be a carrot growing in a field of rabbits faster than you can say "What's up, Doc?"!!!

I tend to agree with those who think that a ninth season of Bewitched would just continue with remakes of old shows and interestingly, maybe more of a focus on Tabitha. Also had the show gone on for three more seasons as the Ashers had originally planned to do--Agnes Moorehead would have been ill and passed away during those years and that would have been a huge loss. There is no way they would have recast Endora, and without her the show probably would have lossed some of its focus. I like to think of how the sixth thru eighth seasons would have differed had Dick York still been around playing Darrin. I think they would have had more focus on the relationship between Darrin and Sam than they did during the Dick Sargent years.

I would love to think that the 9th season would have showcased Tabitha more than she had been in some of the seasons - in Season 8 they started having some stories that centered around her, rather than having her take Adam out to play. I have to wonder how Erin's life would have been different with a 9th or even 10th season. Personal news, though, another one of my aunts is sick - sudden onset of pneumonia; she's been in the ICU since Saturday. The good news is that she's holding her own, but her immune system is weakened due to cancer treatments.

Tituba: True. torcan and a Bewitched fan: I agree with both your assessments of what the ninth season would've been like. There probably would've been a lot of the relatives popping in, more of Tabatha and her school life and interaction with her growing brother Adam, but definitely more remakes of DY episodes. So it's probably good that it ended when it did.

torcan: I think that the ninth season would have included episodes with Tabitha and her school life, her friends, and Adam being a bratty brother, not leaving her and her friends alone. Also, Sam's relatives would be "popping" in with amazing regularity, such as Cousin Henry, Uncle Arthur, Cousin Edgar, Cousin Panda, Cousin Serena, and, naturally, Endora. However, we will never know what the next season would have been, as EM had her fill and didn't want to return to the grueling weekly series of episodic television. I mean, playing Serena even had lost its appeal. And, her marriage to Wm. Asher was definitely on the rocks, after her rude awakening of his infidelity. But, that is not the reason why we love BW. There are always reasons to why things happen, but, we should cherish the 8 years that was brought to us in a wonderful product titled Bewitched.

I always noticed that line about the happy endings as well. It's interesting that it worked out that way because we all know that "Bewitched" was supposed to come back for a ninth season - so it's probably just a co-incidence that was among the last lines. But it's good it worked out that way. It's interesting to think of the possibilities - maybe Endora just left Sam and Darrin alone after that and gave up??!! In an episode of "Tabitha" from 1977, it's mentioned Sam and Darrin's marriage was successful - having lasted 25 years. Maybe the next 17 weren't as rocky as the first 8!! I've always wondered what they would have done in the ninth season if they had come back - would we have seen good new stories or just more re-do's of old Dick York shows which were so frequent during the last season. Ah...the possibilities...

This day in BW history, 30 years ago: Episode #254:"The Truth, Nothing but the Truth, So Help Me, Sam" originally aired thus marking the last new episode produced. One of Samantha's lines in the episode fits rather well as she speaks of Endora and says "Mother always loved happy endings." I wish there had been a series finale produced rather than just airing a run of the mill episode. Endora: So good to see you back here. I would like to join you in your trek to Wisconsin in August. And how come Salem in December? Sounds like fun. Tituba: Aren't slot machines supposed to be noisy to add to the excitement of the possibility of winning lots o'money? What a bummer that you didn't win a ton off the BW machine.

Hi everyone! Long time no post, thanks to the anal retentive mortal types at my new job who don't allow employees access to the internet! Anyway, Broph, my thoughts and prayers to you in this time of loss. Everyone: Thank you for your birthday wishes, and what the Queen didn't say is that the reason the angels were safe was because she locked them all up so I couldn't get near them :-)! Welcome to all the new faces and may I also heartily recommend the AM info on the Harpie's Site. It rocks and I'm planning a trip to her archives myself the weekend of August 9th. Thank you to the wonderful, outstanding, AM appreciating gentleman that took the time to go through them and tell everyone what was in them, as the information I got from the museum was very sketchy...not to mention his wonderful descriptions of the collection contents inspired me to get off my procrastinating butt and finally schedule a trip there! Speaking of trips, I'm also planning one to Salem in December, though that one isn't definite yet, due to the company I work for being in financial trouble and my job situation being shaky as usual....

I guess I'm going to have to come visit now...like I should've at the beginning of the month:( Everyone: On Tuesday's episode of That 70s Show they had an entire scene devoted to the kids discussing the differences between Samantha and Jeannie. It was really funny. Hyde said the way they should settle it is have Sam and Jeannie mud wrestle! Sounds like a good fight!;) Kelso also said it was way hot that Sam could twitch her clothes away in an instant. I agree.

Thirty years ago today: Episode #253: "Samantha's Witchcraft Blows a Fuse" originally aired. This is the one where Sam gets bright red stripes disease. All though not a lot of people enjoy this one, I do. It's always been a favorite of mine because of Dr. Bombay and the Apothecary and Nurse Often being in it. I always laugh when Dr. Bombay is reading off the ingredients for the anecdote when he comes to toasted cheese on rye. Samantha: Toasted cheese on rye? Bombay: That's for me. I'm starving! And then later on when the Apothecary reads the list I always chuckle. This episode also seems odd to me as Reta Shaw is back as Hagatha after having not been seen in like five seasons! I almost think that they were going to have Endora speak those lines but maybe AM wasn't able to be there that week to film. Queenie: I love the inclusion of the archives of AM. Reading those personal notes makes her all the more real. I especially loved reading that Erin and Dianne Murphy really referred to her as "Grandmama". I really suggest everyone popping over to see it as well as the article I just contributed about the similarities in scripts between BW and IDOJ. (http://www.harpiesbizarre.com/dejaview.htm)It's rather interesting. Also Harpies has also added a new page featuring the BW slot machines that can be found in Vegas. Tituba, any word as to if they are found in your kingdom yet? BTW I enjoyed your poem from your last post.

Paul,For a collection of Bewitched related memorabilia such as Photos,i would suggest your best bet would be to got to www.Ebay.com under Elizabeth Montgomery & Bewitched, you will find quite a few there on a regular basis.
I have 400 8/10's of Liz on my walls & i have only one cast photo of the type that you specifically described,so that will not be easy for you to obtain, there are many cast photos though in color that are out there.
As for Stills of Elizabeth Montgomery there are a mired of options from, ebay & amazon.com,& to contact sellers about additional photos of Liz that they have that might not be for auction at ebay especially can yield some nice pics.
http://www.showcasecompany.com/cgi-bin/ShopSite/sb/productsearch.cgi?storeid=usr1034 @$4.20 EACH,
http://www.moviemarket.com/ & look under Elizabeth montgomery & Bewitched
ARE ABOUT $5.50 EACH,
WWW.BIJOUCOLLECTABLES.COM is another good site to obtain Liz Photos @ $5.95 each,
As well this seller Brenda Mills millsbrn12@aol.com has a great selection at a very reasonable price.
$7 EACH,
Give it a shot & have fun with it.

Thirty years ago today episode #251: "School Days, School Daze" originally aired. This is the one where Tabitha's teacher Mrs. Peabody snoops around the Stephens' place and catches Tabitha working some magic. I love this episode! Just because Samantha lets Mrs. Peabody have it w/o once thinking of what Dum-Dum is going to say when he finds out. My favorite line from this one is from Samantha when she says "Mrs. Peabody, you are barking up the wrong tree!" She twitches her nose zapping Mrs. Peabody to the top of the tree. I believe this episode also marks the last time we see Tabitha and Adam. Tituba: I'm glad to hear that Endora's visit was w/o angel wing accidents:)

Dr. Bombay: I doubt Liz took it seriously, if she even read it. By the time the magazine came out, Rebecca was already born so she had 3 kids and didn't have time to read such stuff although the magazine included a bigger article on her. Also, by this time I think she and BA were beginning their troubles... and she had desperately wanted to have a girl after her 2 boys, so after getting Rebecca, she may have just decided to close the book on having more kids (and she wasn't getting any younger - she was 36 when Rebecca was born and I know from experience that this is OLD when you consider having kids...)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR DORAAAAAAAA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! I'm DEVASTATED to have not been able to join in the birthday festivities. But I hope you're having a wonderful time with Tituba and the family. Ling Ling: Thanks for posting that cool little magazine tidbit about Liz. I wonder if Liz really took the reading seriously as she didn't have any more kids or if that decision was based on other factors.

Hi all! Thought you might be interested in this tidbit I found in Modern Screen magazine from 1970:
MODERN SCREEN is proud to present this series of predictions and readings by Peter Hurkos on five of your favorites.
ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY: From the point of view of your health, it will be better for you not to have any more children.
I know how much you love your children, and how much they mean to you. You are a very good mother. The only thing wrong with you as a mother is that you have a tendency to spoil your children a little. When they have temper tantrums, it’s difficult for you to be firm with them.
Your marriage to William Asher is a happy one. Once in a while there is a little friction there, but he knows your problems, understands you, and is not a troublemaker. You can be dominating, but he knows how to handle that. He also knows that you have a wonderful soul, with true inner beauty.
You have a somewhat better relationship with your father than with your mother. I suggest that you do a little bit more praying for your mother.
(the other 4 people were Raquel Welch, Lloyd Hanes, Julie Sommars, and Elliot Gould)

Torcanada, the SCREENGEMS NETWORK version of BEWITCHED which is about 4 minutes less then it was originally aired @.They have 74 episodes in their rotation from seasons 3 to 8 with 47 DICK YORK episodes & 27 DICK SARGENT episodes from seasons 6 to 8.There are 12 episodes from season 8 ,6 episodes from season 7 & 9 episodes from season 6,they have showed the B/W version of the pilot but none of the colorized episodes from the first two seasons. All the episodes from the last 6 seasons are thrown together haphazardly & seen & chosen in no particular order. As to why they haven't added more since they startd showing them,i don't know, you would think that they would have added 50 more every 6 months or so.I get it on my dish at T-5 Transponder-24 & it is clear as Glass.

Thanks for the info. Larry. Only 74 out of 254 - what do they show - the first 12 episodes of seasons 3 to 8? It would be nice to see more. Too bad about Hallmark going digital - I guess my only place to see the show will be Screen Gems.....Speaking of snow (as the message below this one was), it's interesting that on a few "Bewitched" episodes they actually show snow on the ground. Three of the four Christmas episodes, and "Sam's Psychic Slip" (which was just shown on Screen Gems) come to mind. Also, if memory serves "The Phrase is Familiar" they showed some snow.....I think I read this on one of the Blooper pages, but on "Santa Comes to Visit and Stays", it's Christmastime, there's a little snow yet Darrin and Larry are driving around with their car windows open. It must have been warm on the set that day!!

It's been snowing here, since last night, off and on. We have ground cover, but nothing major. Snowflakes gently.........falling to the ground..........where the Goddess once walked, around in our town...........The temps are COLD and windy outside..........But we're filled with warmth from our Bewitched Family; inside!

Tituba I am ...er...glad i ....ah.....met your expectations.Torcanada,The thing is that Hallmark puts out a very weak signal & as such even though the transponder & Satellite are strong, the result is sputtering Sparkles all over the place,it is especially bad in the early Morning & seems to be a bit better in the evenings.
The other deal is that by March.15th Hallmark will no longer be in the Clear & will go Digital as well & no longer be available on you dish vie Analogue means.Re the Screen Gems Network, they show exactly 74 of the 254 episodes only from seasons 3 to 8 over & over again in the same rotation, they did so right from the start & it is beyond me as to why they have not increased the number of episodes since it's inception more then 2 years ago.I believe the process of where the Canadian stations edit out the American commercials & replace them with Canadian ones is fairly New as in from the 1980's on,back in the original run i believe that we saw exactly what the USA saw in the primetime version re sponsor openings & such. When it went into syndication it is possible that the sponsor openings were modified.Hope this helps :) Larry Tate

I get "Bewitched" on Hallmark, but I have a C-band satellite dish and in my area that signal is on the weak side. Oddly enough, every other channel on that satellite is strong, but that one always has "sparklies" on it. Rather annoying. The only time it comes in clear is when it's very cold outside - and this winter in Toronto has been very mild. It's only been cold enough to give me a clear picture about three times. (Today - 2/25/02 - is going to be 54 F or 12 C, so I definately won't get a good picture today). Lately I've been watching the Screen Gems airings on satellite - I get a much better picture on that. It's also on a Canadian digital channel that I don't get .....2 Questions: does Screen Gems show EVERY episode, or are they the same few over and over? I haven't watched it enough to know for sure.....Also, for any other Canadians out there -- we all know that when the show ran on ABC they had sponsored openings. Did the Canadian stations also air those sponsored openings, or did they have some sort of special edited opening? I'm only old enough to remember the Dick Sargent shows in prime time, and the only thing I remember is that CTV ran the sixth season opening with NO voice over. ABC's sixth season opening had the voice-over at the end announcing the products. I'm not really old enough to remember how CTV ran the other seasons. I do remember that when it repeated on the Toronto CTV station in the early '70s, they ran the correct opening for season five on the reruns, but without any sponsors. Anyone know for sure?

HA! To both Tituba and Lawrence Tate: I have been receiving Bewitched a whopping FIVE times a day, four times on Hallmark and once on Screen Gems. Of course I can't stand watching it on SGN but that's ok. Now on to more emotional matters....THE OLYMPICS ARE OVER!!!!! WAAAAAA!!!! It has seriously been so much fun! Concerts here and there, party all the whole two weeks. Last night was the best though. We went to Utah's version of Virginia City aka Park City and walked around. I saw in one of the memorabilia shops a plaque with a picture of EM, DY, and little EM with a signed check from EM and DY's signature. Of course it was about 1,200 dollars so needless to say I didn't purchase it. After that we went to go take a closer look at the fire cauldron at Rice Eccles stadium. It was pretty awesome. We went up to the State Capitol where they have a HUGE fluorescent tube American flag. It reminded me of Lenny Kravitz's "American Woman" video. There were also buffalo statues everywhere painted by local artists. We also went up the side of the mountain where the illuminated Olympic rings were. We found that we could hike up this STEEP hill. It's a good thing OBOE wasn't there. She would've had a fit. I almost did. But in true Dr. Bombay fashion I hiked the hill and planted my flag. Of course I slid down the hill as though I were part of the skiing team and that wasn't much fun but no broken bones, I just tore open an old war scar that has never really healed on my leg. Then we went downtown where we were caught in the middle of an unruly crowd in front of Bud World that the police contained by tear gas. That was a little unnerving. All in all the SLC 2002 Winter Olympic games were quite magical. I am really bummed out that there isn't going to be a continual party going on anymore:(

Today in BW History 1972: The first part of "George Washington Zapped Here" aired. This was the last time Esmerelda was seen. It was also the last two parter in the series. And I also believe that Samantha didn't perform any magic in these episodes. Breen: MJH is included in the credits because they interviewed her for the special while BE was on the set of Sabrina filming. She doesn't speak much though.

Tx SCH, I've been watching a lot of Sabrina recently and falling in love with the program, so that's interesting. Btw talking about Sabrina and Barbara Eden, I noticed in the IMDB that there's a program called 'Intimate Portrait: Barbara Eden' in 2002. It credits Barbara, Bill Daily, and Larry Hagman....and also Melissa Joan Hart. Why is MJH in what is presumably a Barbara Eden biography? Is she narrating it or something?

......and then someone else suggested that we hold the BW get together in Houston, TX. Well, here are some examples as to why........: > 1. First you must learn to pronounce the city name. It is YEEWS-TUN and it does not matter how people pronounce it in other places.
2. Houston has its own version of traffic rules. Never forget that downtown Houston is composed entirely of one way streets. The only way to get out of the center of town is to turn around and
start over when you reach Dallas.
3. All directions start with, "Go down Westheimer".
4. Westheimer has no beginning and no end.
5. The 8:00am rush hour is from 6:30 to 9:30am. The 5:00pm rush hour is from 3:30 to 6:30pm. Friday's rush hour starts on Thursday morning.
6. If you actually stop at a yellow light, you cannot be from Houston.
7. Kuykendahl (kirk-en-doll) Road can only be pronounced by a native, so do not attempt the phonetic pronunciation. People will simply tilt their heads to the right and stare at you.
8. The falling of one snowflake causes all traffic to immediately cease. Fortunately all schools, businesses and city government close when the word snow is mentioned.
9. Construction on the Gulf Freeway is a way of life, and a permanent form of entertainment.
10. Many bizarre sights can be explained simply by uttering the phrase, "Oh, we're in Montrose!"
11. Construction crews aren't doing their job properly unless they close down all lanes except one during rush hour.
12. If someone actually has their turn signal on, it was probably left on at the factory where the car was made.
13. Buying a Houston street map is a waste of money since the termination or continuation of any street is entirely at the discretion of the Streets Department of the City.
14. Asking directions will help you get acquainted with the numerous recent residents. It will not be any help at all for finding the address you seek.
15. Houston natives are so rare that they are listed on the endangered species list. Even they can't help with directions though, as most
streets are still under construction and have recently changed names.
16. What you need to know when arriving at Bush Inter-continental Airport: Your arrival gate is at least 32 miles away from the Main Concourse of any terminal. Walking heels on your boots or walking shoes are advised.
17. Never honk your horn at another car in Houston traffic. The bumper sticker that reads, "Keep honking, I'm reloading" is considered a fair warning.
18. Exit and entry ramps on the freeway are just the recommended way of entering and exiting, feel free to exit at any grassy point you wish.............Now, with all of that info, I think we're ready for a vote! ......Pencils down...... Time is up!

July 23 - August 22
You might just be having a little bit of fun, but someone else finds your words or actions insensitive. People hold grudges when their customs are breached, so be on your best behavior at all times. You can always lead with an apology. Don't be afraid to admit that you made a mistake. Your brash nature will be admired by many. Keep your feelings and your tongue in check. Think of the group before thinking of yourself.

You might get an offer by e-mail that will make you very rich with very little effort. Remember - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! You wouldn't trust some guy who walks up to you on the street to make you suddenly wealthy - an unsolicited e-mail is no better just because the person has a computer! Just please be careful and don't fall for any scams.

As far as I know...it was never discussed. The only time I remember anything mentioned, was when a former admirer of Samantha was after her. But even then I don't think he was a former boyfriend, just a former admirer.
